DIY Makeup Remover

By October 30, 2018November 28th, 2018DIY, Essential Oils

We ladies love to look good and we love our makeup and now that I have toxic free makeup from Young Living (which you can read more about HERE) and toxic free skin care from Young Living as well, I wanted to go a step further and ditch all toxins left in my personal care routine! (Except hair spray! 80/20 rule right?)

So, one way I eliminated some toxins was by making a simple (because I don’t have time for complicated) DIY all natural makeup remover! Just 2 ingredients!

Here is what you’ll need:

Grapeseed oil (Most cosmetic products prefer grape seed oil as their base. The oil, in its ideal thickness, is also rich in vitamins C, D, and E โ€“ all of which help in reducing wrinkles and scars. It helps in tightening the skin. The polyphenols and antioxidants in the oil help treat acne as well). You’ll want to make sure it is Hexane free. You can grab some HERE

Young Living Lavender and Frankincense essential oils (Frankincense can help you maintain the appearance of radiant skin. It has the ability to smooth the appearance of healthy skin. Lavender cleanses and soothes minor skin irritations, reduces the appearance of blemishes and supports aging skin). To grab some for yourself and get me as your oily mentor click HERE!

Cotton rounds which you can grab HERE.

A glass jar like the one I use HERE.

Directions:

In a medium bowl add 1/4 c grapeseed oil and 10 drops of Frankincense and 5 drops of Lavender essential oils.

Add the cotton rounds to the glass jar and then pour the mixure over the rounds.

Store the jar in a dark cabinet so that the oils don’t evaporate. Make sure you use a GLASS JAR because the essential oils are pure and will break down the plastic and leach toxins out which want to avoid.

It smells amazing, works so well and is actually good for your skin too! Winning!!!

Blessings,
Melodye
